Hiking to the top of St.Athanasios (Altitude 870m)

You have the option of 3 trails beginning from different points:

      1. Southside starting the climb from the steps of Agia Kiriaki.
      2. Mavriotissa following the path just behind the fountain.
      3. Northside starting either from the Nautical Club and the steps of St.Sotirios or from the steps of Sougaridis road turn (shortly after the prohibition sign). You will first reach the Prophet Elias, where you can have a close encounter with some of the habitues from the animal kingdom (deers, peacocks, etc.). Then if you actually wish to continue upwards, there are two alternatives: the mountain path and the asphalt road. In both cases, do deviate a little from the road and take a look at the Mountain Theater

All paths are promising unique views of the lake and the city of Kastoria.

Psalida (Altitude 1095m)

A spectacular view of the whole area that even to many locals still remains unknown! There are various options (of different difficulty rating) that start either from the area of Fountoukli or from the area of Kalithea and the Peripheral road that leads to the TEI of Kastoria. Reaching the top of the mountain facing the city, the view is panoramic and absolutely rewarding!
